Tecnogas CD-97 Carbon Monoxide Detector
The Tecnogas CD-97 is a domestic carbon monoxide (CO) detector designed to constantly monitor the presence of this toxic, odorless gas in indoor environments. Thanks to its highly reliable electrochemical sensor, it promptly detects CO concentrations above 40 ppm , activating an audible and visual alarm to allow rapid intervention and increase occupant safety. It is the ideal solution for homes, utility rooms, and environments containing boilers, stoves, fireplaces, cookers, or other combustion appliances.
How it works
The CD-97 continuously monitors the concentration of carbon monoxide in the air using an electrochemical sensor with an estimated life of 5 years . During normal operation, the green LED indicates the operating status of the device. In the presence of dangerous concentrations of CO, the detector progressively activates a luminous alarm and a powerful 85 dB acoustic signal, in addition to the relay output for controlling external devices. The device also integrates a TEST function to periodically verify correct operation, the possibility of temporarily silencing the buzzer and the reporting of any sensor anomalies.
Where to use it
The Tecnogas CD-97 detector is suitable for installation in closed environments , such as homes, bedrooms, kitchens, boiler rooms, basements, garages, and near any potential source of carbon monoxide emissions. It must be wall-mounted at least 1.5 meters from the floor and at least 1.85 meters from any potential CO source, avoiding areas with strong drafts or behind curtains and furniture. The device is not designed to detect smoke, fire, or other gases.
