The dirt separator is a device used in heating systems with condensing boilers and performs the important function of protecting the boiler. It is installed on the return of the heating circuit before the water re-enters the boiler and retains the impurities present in the circuit which would otherwise damage the exchanger and the other components of the boiler. In addition to prolonging the life of the boiler, it considerably increases the efficiency of the heating system, improves the efficiency of the whole system, helps keep the valves and radiator holders clean (the use of the dirt separator in association with the valves is recommended thermostatic). The use of the dirt separator therefore makes it possible to obtain considerable savings also on gas consumption because the boiler must always heat clean water. It is recommended to install the dirt separator already in the system activation phase or in any case at the same time as the replacement of an old boiler with a new condensing one.
Dirtstop Easy by IVAR is a magnetic, adjustable, universal dirt separator. Prepared for installation under wall boilers on both horizontal and vertical pipes, its particularity is the possibility of being installed in different positions . Its dimensions are extremely small so as to easily find accommodation even in the smallest spaces. An absolutely versatile item with quick and easy installation.

The Dirtstop EASY dirt separator retains the impurities present in the closed circuit of the heating system. The presence of the internal separation chamber forces the water to pass through the filter in any installation position, always guaranteeing maximum filtering action. The powerful neodymium magnet also retains impurities of ferrous origin, safeguarding the heat exchanger and the heat generator pump. Install Dirtstop® EASY on the return pipe of the system, upstream from the heat generator, to intercept the impurities present in the circuit before they reach the heat generator itself. When installing Dirtstop EASY in a new heating system, pre-flush the pipes to free them from any dirt and debris.
Its cleaning does not require disassembly; the operation is very simple because just open the ball valve located in the lower part and let the residues flow into a container to be placed in the lower part.
The Dirtstop EASY dirt separator is specially designed to be installed without further modifications to the component. Just open the package, screw on the cap, swivel fitting and shut-off valve to be able to install the dirt separator in any position with a guarantee of maximum effectiveness.

DOSER OF POLYPHOSPHATES AND SILICATES IN POLYPHEMUS BALLS IVAR

The polyphosphate and silicate dispenser is a device aimed at protecting boilers , water heaters , washing machines and dishwashers from the formation of limescale and incrustations which compromise their correct use and duration. When a polyphosphate and silicate dispenser is installed on the delivery pipes of a boiler (or other devices crossed by water), its slow release of polyphosphates and silicates creates a film on the pipes which protects them from the formation of limescale and therefore from corrosion ; this is particularly useful if the water is hard or very hard . It is therefore strongly advisable to install it on all household devices that use water.
The new IVAR POLIFEMO polyphosphate and silicate dispenser is a device without moving parts which releases a solution saturated with food polyphosphates and silicates into the domestic cold water. The dosing of the substances is proportional to the water flow that passes through the device and takes place via the suction pipe which takes the right amount of saturated solution from the cup. The dosing principle is based on the pressure differences created in the device when a certain flow of water passes through it.
Thanks to the polyphosphates and silicates, and the presence of the stainless steel safety filter integrated in the device, POLIFEMO performs three different functions :
1. Protects from limescale
2. Protects against corrosion
3. Filter out impurities.
The slow dosage of phosphates of POLIFEMO carries out the anti-limescale action by preventing the precipitation of calcium and magnesium carbonate; the dosage of silicates performs the protective function against corrosion . Thanks to the particular shape of POLIFEMO, the water is forced to pass through its glass, in any position it is installed, therefore the filtering action is always guaranteed . In any case, vertical installation is preferable for correct visualization of the charge level. POLIFEMO further simplifies the monitoring of the consumption of the polyphosphate spheres in the glass: if the eye closes, i.e. if the level indicator has reached the base of the glass, it is time to top up.
The POLIFEMO dispenser is equipped with a special by-pass valve to allow normal operation of the system even in the phase of refilling and cleaning the device. It can be installed to protect boilers, water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Body and ring nut of the POLIFEMO silicate and polyphosphate dispenser are in chromed brass, the cup in Grilamid TR, the filter in PP, the gasket in EPDM. It can withstand an operating pressure of up to 10 bar; the duration of a recharge is approximately 6 months considering connecting the device to a boiler used by 4 people which delivers hot water at 42°C.
POLIFEMO is already complete with a spare cartridge, the connection kit and the key to assemble and disassemble the cartridge. The spare cartridges, cod. 520213, can be purchased separately. Volume of water treated with one refill: approx. 50 m³. Maximum flow rate: 30 l/min (with ΔP equal to 0.5 bar). Connections: 1/2 F.
To be installed vertically or horizontally on the cold water pipe upstream of the domestic hot water producer (boiler, water heater, etc.) or upstream of the appliance to be protected (washing machine, dishwasher).
NB : The use of polyphosphates for limescale prevention is satisfactory on medium or hard water, up to 30°f. Beyond this degree of hardness, it is recommended to install a softener to protect the entire system.
It is also advisable to pay attention to the distribution temperature of the domestic hot water: beyond 60°C in the treated water, there may be phenomena of precipitation of calcium and magnesium carbonates (limestone).

MALOX FAST GEL ACID CONDENSATE NEUTRALIZER FOR WALL-MOUNTED CONDENSING BOILERS UP TO 35 KW
The Gel Malox Fast neutralizer is a filter system designed for the treatment of condensation water coming from condensing boilers. Boiler waste water, in fact, must be appropriately neutralized before canalisation due to its acidity and, in this regard, Malox Fast presents itself as an excellent ally by intervening on the PH level and bringing it back within the permitted limits.
The Gel Malox Fast acid condensate neutralizer is made up of a PVC container resistant to the acidity of the condensate and containing a specific filtering material that guarantees the PH level within the values required by law. With a compact design, with anti-blockage by-pass , it is ideal for quick connections with standard condensation pipes and washing machine pipes.
By increasing, the neutralizing masses keep the hardness and pH of the water in balance and, as it does not contain components capable of altering the characteristics of the neutralized water to be discharged, it presents itself as a reliable and safe as well as necessary filter, compatible with all boilers condensing thanks to the included universal smart fitting .
Gel Malox Fast is suitable for use on boilers up to 35 kW power, maximum flow rate 3 l/h and connection with a diameter of 20 mm.
The installation requires a dedicated technical room, free from chemical contamination and heat sources above 50°C. Assembly, both horizontally and vertically , requires a few simple steps, but must be carried out by authorized and qualified personnel , according to the instructions contained in the installation manual duly supplied with the product.
