Calpeda IDROMAT 5-15 1.5 bar pressure control
IDROMAT 5-15 - STARTING PRESSURE 1.5 bar - PUMP HEAD > 30 m - HIGHEST POINT OF THE SYSTEM < 15 m.
The presscontrol or pressure flow switch for electric pumps is used to automatically manage the operation of the pump, maintaining a constant pressure in the system: it turns the pump on when it detects a request for water (e.g. opening a tap) and turns it off when the flow stops, also protecting the electric pump from dry running.
The Calpeda IDROMAT presscontrol is among the most performing and reliable of its kind! It is a device for controlling electric pumps equipped with a flow sensor and a pressure sensor connected to an electronic system . The IDROMAT electronic controller commands the automatic start and stop of the water pump when a tap or valve connected to the installation is opened or closed, respectively. Once the pump has started, it remains running as long as any connected tap remains open, transmitting the required flow rate to the network at constant pressure.
It is composed of:
- inlet and outlet ports of the same diameter (R1 male);
- built-in non-return valve;
- dry running protection system;
- 0-12 bar pressure gauge as standard;
- automatic reset function to restore operation without manual intervention;
- Power LED (POWER);
- Pump operation LED (ON);
- Safety system intervention LED (FAILURE).
The three LEDs provide information on the system's operation, while the Reset button allows you to manually restart the system in the event of an alarm. The display allows you to set and adjust the system's restart pressure.
APPLICATIONS OF THE IDROMAT PRESSURE FLOW SWITCH
The Idromat pressure flow switch is used to ensure automatic control of the water supply and pressure increase and controls the pump start when the taps are opened and stop when they are closed.
Furthermore, it also provides protection against dry running, closed-mouth operation and operation with a lack of water in the suction area (due to a lack of water in the inlet pipe under head, due to a non-immersed suction pipe or excessive suction height, due to air entering the suction area).
The Calpeda IDROMAT presscontrol can be used with both potable and non-potable water circuits , however, in the case of installations where both types of water can be used, it is necessary to ensure that the two circuits never come into contact.
Installation must be performed by qualified technical personnel. Additional details, including installation, are contained in the user manual supplied with the product.
